Meow!

Hey, yeah...that's me...kitty by your foot, wanna touch it?

And I want your attention, because lately I've been doing a lot of pondering on the universe, the cosmos and life as a Human on the planet Earth. I am inquisitive by nature, and I like to find out how people (and things) work, plus I study biology so I see the world as a matrix of atoms, where cause and effect is obvious because every event creates ripples of energy in the atoms surrounding it. Finally, when there are enough atoms acting the same way at the same time for a Human to sense it (I'd imagine that would be a number with 20+ zeros at least) an event occurs on the human scale of interaction and enough molecules are moving in one direction for the human skin to experience a breeze. But we shouldn't forget that there are levels to that air movement both bigger(i.e. climate) and smaller(i.e. molecular) than our level of interaction with it, and so it is with everything in the Universe. Yeah...so that's a little insight into where my head is at and how deep I'm looking. But anyways...I'm pretty sure CAUSE and EFFECT is the central system by which we are all operating. The hook for me is that books such as "The Master Key System" proclaim that as humans the only power we have to "cause" any "effects" to happen is through THOUGHT. So suddenly the world of New Age spirituality seems to make some sense: including Hindu teachings about energy and chakras, practices like yoga and meditation, books about the Buddhist perspective like The Zen of Eating, and working on Feng Shui and energy flow in my home and life. All of this new philosophy has fallen on me in the past year (2007), and now in 2008 I'm here and committed to getting some of it recorded somewhere. So I thought, "Why not a blog?" hoping some of my friends and future friends may find it interesting or helpful to their own personal search.

The Universe has even provided me with the perfect subject to start with - February 2008 and the Two Eclipses (sounds like it could be a band's name? huh?). Although it has already passed, I don't think its too far gone to think back to Wednesday, February 6th and the SOLAR ECLIPSE which took place. The Eclipse occurs in Aquarius, a sign which relates to the issues or brotherhood, friendship and social outings, group activities and joining new groups, humanitarian efforts and TRYING NEW THINGS. This last part seems especially important when you take into consideration we've just started a New Year and that is always a good time to turn things around in your life and to realize flawed systems and replace them with new habits; although hard to realize sometimes I'm a Cancer and I know best - the death of something old will lead directly to the life of something new, because energy is never created nor destroyed but only transfered around the Universe. So on top of that, the start of the Chinese 2008 New Year in February is the beginning of the Year of the Rat, the first sign of the Chinese zodiac and as such it bring favorable energy for working hard on personal projects and busily pursuing your dreams. And finally, 2008's numerology breaks down into a 1 (2+0+0+8=10, 1+0=1) and 1 being the first number correlates to new beginnings and creativity. So people, what I'm saying is in short this specific year and this specific month are great times to pay attention to friendships, social activities and starting new things. Don't be afraid to let go, and don't forget to check out the night sky on Wednesday at 10:31pm EST, or 8:31 pm MST here in Phoenix to see the full moon take on a reddish glow while it falls completely in the shadow of the Earth as it moves between its Sun and its Moon.

Peace.Luv.Kt

The thought manifests as the word. The word manifests as the deed. The deed develops into habit. And the habit hardens into character. So watch the thought and its ways with care. And let it spring from love, born out of concern for all beings. . -Buddha.
